Bray Forum has been upgraded from phpBB2 to phpBB3. All old accounts, posts, private messages *etc* are still there, but now we have many more features, incl. picture hosting (you can upload pictures while posting a message) and easier ways to link to a certain message directly, along with many other new features..

There are new threads on Bray Forum again:
Travel Zone, for anything travel related (the existing travel topics have been moved to this thread already), and Old Christmas Topics, which opens our newest category; the Open Archives.
There will be new threads, under Open Archives. I usually close old topics, which are out of date for one reason or another - for example, old birthday topics and season related topics, which are not really relevant anymore, once the date or holiday season has passed. However, some of those topics have useful recipes or other info, or might otherwise make nice reading, so rather than hide them away in our closed archives or let the open threads become clogged with closed topics, it’s better to dedicate some open archive threads to them.
Everyone can read the open archive topics, but no replies or new topics can be posted there.
As a little springtime spash of colour, I’ve also added some emoticons to the front page of the forum - like we used to have on ezboard!
Bray Forum Introductions thread has been renamed as:

If you’ve seen a fun test somewhere online, come and share it with us - and don’t forget to include your own results..

Although the URL is nearly identical, this is a different gallery site from Stello Pix. You can see a selection of Bray photos here, as well as various arts & crafts related photos from the craft sessions we’ve had in Bray. (Do contact me if you’d like to come and join our craft sessions sometimes! We do mainly papercrafts and dollhouse / fashion doll miniatures, but if you’d rather make something else, that’s fine with us, as long as it’s not very messy!)

Hostimme yllätti lisäämällä admin paneliin pika-asennettavan WordPress-blogin, ja kun minulla on jonkin sortin addiktio kokeilla erilaista blogisoftaa *yms*, niin lykkäsin samantien sormen nappulalle.. Ja jos jostain syystä olet eksynyt lukemaan tätä, mutta et ole koskaan Bray Forumista kuullutkaan, ehkäpä on pienen esittelyn paikka: kyseessä on siis keskustelusaitti / message board / nettikoti, joka saa nimensä kotikaupungistaan Bray’sta - joka sijaitsee County Wicklow’ssa, Irlannissa. Meillä on jonkin verran paikallis-infoa, mutta monet jäsenistä eivät ole välttämättä edes koskaan käyneet Irlannissa, eli Bray Forum on periaatteessa ihan tavallinen yleiskeskustelufoorumi. Jos et ole koskaan käynyt foorumillamme, tervetuloa mukaan! Englanninkieliset keskustelut ovat suurimmaksi osin avoimia kaikille, ja avointa materiaalia löytyy suomeksikin. Suomenkieliset voivat kuitenkin liittyä Suomeksi-käyttäjäryhmään, jonka jäsenet pääsevät yleiseen keskusteluun suomeksi. Tavataan foorumilla!
Welcome to Bray Forum News. Our host surprised us with a quickie installation of WordPress, but as we already have the Shared Bray Forum Blog, and therefore needed no actual blog, I thought I’d use this as a little news blog about everything that’s going on in the brayforum.com domain - which is, of course, much more than just the forum itself! (I admit it, I’m addicted to testing all kinds of blog and forum software, and just hadn’t tried WP yet, in the admin sense.. lol)
By the way, if you are a member of Bray Forum, and would like to start blogging in the Shared Bray Forum Blog, have a look at this topic..
If, for some reason, you’re someone who found their way to this blog, but hasn’t actually been to Bray Forum, perhaps a little introduction: It’s a message board / discussion forum / online home for some, and gets its name from its home town, Bray - that’s in County Wicklow, Ireland. While we do have some local information topics, many of our members have never even been to Ireland, so it’s really for general discussion about this and that. If you’ve never been to our forum, you’re welcome to join us! Get to know some of the other members and introduce yourself on the Introductions thread, and if you’re looking for a good chit-chat corner on the forum, why not try Gossip… Hope to see you on the forum!
